The supervisor will be responsible for securing the warehouse and supervising staff, maintaining inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items..**Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):*** Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.* Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse operational improvements.* Meets warehouse financial standards by monitoring operational best practices and maintaining efficiency.* Meets safety goals by ensuring 100% compliance with company Safety Program.* Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.* Delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items.* Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.* Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data.* Maintains metrics* Secures warehouse by turning alarms on; testing systems.* Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.* Accomplishes warehouse and organization mission by completing related results as needed.**Required Education and Experience:*** 4+ years as a Supervisor in a warehouse or distribution environment* Proficient with all MS office programs* Proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)* Experienced in analyzing data and reporting**Preferred Qualifications:**Experience with Locus and / or JDE (Not required)**Knowledge-Skills-Abilities (Competencies):*** Ability to work in a team; team player.* Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing* Ability to adapt to different situations/Flexible* Must have great customer service* Ability to work independently* Safety Management* Data Entry Management* Time Management* Equipment Maintenance* Organization* Deadline-Oriented* Dealing with Complexity**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:**This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekend and Holiday work will vary depending on business needs.**Travel:**This position requires no travel.**Supervisory Responsibility:**Supervises warehouse employees.**Work Environment and Physical Demands:**The work environment/physical requirements described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
