As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a crucial role in delivering prescribed radiation therapy treatments, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy using specialized equipment
- Obtaining patient history and explaining procedures to ensure patient understanding and comfort
- Scheduling patients and coordinating with physicists and supportive care teams
- Preparing and maintaining accurate documentation of treatment plans and progress
- Reinforcing care recommendations and monitoring patient reactions during treatments
- Participating in continuous professional development and education programs
- Associate's degree in radiography with certification in radiation therapy; Bachelor's degree preferred
- State of Ohio licensed radiation therapist; ARRT license; CPR certified
- Need 1 year experience in setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Truebeam/Aria experience preferred
- Ohio Department of Health License preferred upon submission
