Senior Corporate Accountant

Kforce's client, one of the best companies to work for on Long Island, NY, is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant. Summary: Reporting to the AVP, Corporate Accounting, you will interface various parties including external auditors, portfolio management, treasury, acquisitions, strategic planning, and tax teams. This position requires relevant accounting experience, with a focus on reporting (GAAP and performance reporting), but will also provide for the ability to work on special projects as needed. • Assist in aspects of monthly and annual financial period close
• Prepare audit schedules and coordination with independent auditors
• Prepare journal entries (including analysis and documentation)
• Analyze and reconcile accounting records vs. budget and forecasts
• Perform ad-hoc reporting for partners/internal departments
• Tracking of management company revenues and related collections
• Approve and code invoices
• Assist with special projects and efficiency initiatives
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
• CPA preferred
• 6+years of corporate or public accounting experience (real estate a plus)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects at once
• Strong analytical skills, with a focus on detail
• Good communication skills and the ability to maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and third parties
