Tax Senior Analyst for Downtown Houston Client

Shad and His team at Robert Half is working with our client, a publicly traded LNG company, is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join its corporate tax team. Reporting to the Tax Manager, this role will play a key part in the company's income tax function, with a primary focus on quarterly and annual tax provision reporting, taxable income modeling, and analysis of book-to-tax differences. This position offers significant exposure to Accounting, FP&A, Strategic Finance, Treasury, and executive leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare quarterly and annual global income tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures under U.S. GAAP and IFRS.Develop and maintain taxable income forecasting models for monthly forecasts and ad hoc analyses.Prepare executive-level presentations highlighting key tax metrics, forecasts, and tax planning initiatives.Perform complex federal tax calculations, including:Section 162(m) executive compensation limitationsCorporate Alternative Minimum Tax (CAMT)Foreign-derived deduction eligible income (FDDEI)Transfer pricingForeign tax creditsRevenue recognition impactsShare-based compensation tax considerationsPrepare income tax journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.Coordinate quarterly estimated tax payments.Draft tax provision memorandums addressing significant transactions and tax positions.Collaborate with international advisors and Big Four firms to manage foreign income tax compliance.Maintain and manage tax provision processes within Corptax.Support external audit requests and documentation requirements.Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the tax function.Company's compensation make up is base salary, bonus potential, Sign on Bonus potential, equity and benefits.
