Job DescriptionThis is a production underwriting position responsible for marketing, underwriting and processing assigned lines of business. Responsibilities may also include participating in special projects and mentoring less experienced staff.   This is a 100% in-office position. Candidates must be able to work on-site at a designated company office during standard business hours. Develop and maintain a submission pipeline sufficient to achieve overall production and business mix objectives.  Use market contacts to bring in business, gather and share market intelligence and cross sell other products.  A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required or equivalent combination of experience and education.  Previous insurance educational work, IIA and CPCU designations are strongly preferred.  A minimum of five years underwriting experience with authority  A genuine excitement to not only meet, but exceed, our customer’s expectation on each and every interaction with the customer.  Excellent ability to collect, gather, manipulate and analyze information in detail to draw conclusions on how to underwrite an account profitably.  Advanced knowledge of computer programs, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.  Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time.  In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.If you have a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act or similar state or local law and you wish to discuss potential reasonable accommodations related to applying for employment with us, please contact our Benefits Department at View phone number on click.appcast.io.
