About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Associate General Counsel to provide strategic legal support for a significant major project. The successful candidate will be a leader in the legal department, responsible for developing and implementing legal strategies that align with the organization's purpose and values. This role involves close collaboration with regional legal teams and centers of excellence to ensure the major project receives effective legal support across all jurisdictions and subject matters. The Senior Associate General Counsel will be the primary legal business partner for the major project, advising on a wide range of legal and business matters, including contracts, risks, and compliance with laws and regulations. Applicants must have a JD or LLM degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience, with a strong preference for those with demonstrated leadership in a global or matrixed organization. The role requires a professional with strong strategic thinking, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, who is results-oriented, proactive, and adaptable. The Senior Associate General Counsel will be responsible for identifying and mitigating legal risks, providing guidance on change management, and commercial issues, and ensuring the protection of the company's interests in potential claims and disputes. The position also involves participation in the Major Projects Working Group and a commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
