Staff Accountant

Position Title: Staff Accountant Location: St. Paul, MN (Hybrid after training - only local candidates in MN & western WI will be considered, weekly onsite presence is required) Compensation: $35.00-$40.00 / Per hour Work Schedule: Monday–Friday Benefits: This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) Job Description We are partnering with a well-established organization to identify a Staff Accountant to support a collaborative accounting team. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple entities, and contributing to the month-end close process. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing competing priorities while meeting critical monthly deadlines. Responsibilities Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and bank reconciliations. Support month-end close activities, including financial statement preparation and account analysis. Prepare and review financial reports for multiple business units and locations. Assist with cost reporting and support audit-related reporting requirements. Research, analyze, and resolve accounting discrepancies and adjusting entries. Partner with internal stakeholders to gather financial information and ensure reporting accuracy. Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation. Utilize Excel to analyze financial data and prepare reporting schedules. Assist with special accounting projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications 4+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close. Experience preparing financial statements and supporting multiple entities or business units is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
