Quality Inspector – Aerospace Dimensional Inspection We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections of aerospace parts throughout the production lifecycle. You'll work with precision measuring instruments, interpret engineering blueprints, apply GD&T principles, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain the highest quality standards. What you'll do Conduct comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished aerospace parts against design specifications. Operate and calibrate precision measuring instruments — micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, and bore gauges. Assess part acceptability, approve conforming parts, and quarantine non-conforming items with documented NCRs. Interpret detailed engineering blueprints and technical drawings to verify tolerances and critical dimensions. Apply GD&T symbols and principles to assess complex part geometries for alignment with functional and design intent. Maintain precise inspection records and complete quality checklists to support audit readiness. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify issues and propose improvements. What you need Experience performing dimensional inspections in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment. Proficiency operating precision measuring instruments — micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, and bore gauges. Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings. Working knowledge of GD&T principles and symbols. Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy. Nice to have Experience writing or processing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Familiarity with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100.
