Westaff is looking for a Material Handler in the Warwick RI area for Immediate Start! Location: Warwick RI Shift: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm Pay: $20 Hour We’re looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our team. Job Duties Performs shipping, receiving, storage, picking, checking, and loading duties following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as well as Machine Operating Procedures (MOP). Performs transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances. Operates various warehouse equipment including but not limited to sit-down forklift, stock picker and RF scanners. Maintains equipment, includes performing safety checks. Complies with all applicable safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to the Team Leader or appropriate resource. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area. Meets established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of warehouse work experience preferred. Minimum 2 years of forklift and stock picker experience preferred. Computer knowledge necessary, Excel, Word, Outlook, JD Edwards, and Internet. Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including but not limited to: UPS WorldShip, Fed-Ex, Ship Manager and LTL shipping procedures. Knowledge of, and ability to promote, compliance with safety policies and procedures. Skill in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
