Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity? We are seeking an  Accounting Specialist for a six-month temporary assignment in Omaha, NE. This position will handle day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities independently.

What You'll Do

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer billings
• Complete bank and credit card reconciliations while monitoring cash activity
• Process subcontractor payments, check runs, and bank deposits
• Maintain accurate accounting records and assist with job cost reporting
• Support payroll entries, tax reporting, and other routine accounting transactions
• Assist with financial documentation and accounting activities across multiple entities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
• Proficiency with QuickBooks; QuickBooks Desktop preferred
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, cash management, and general accounting procedures
• Construction accounting, job costing, or multi-entity experience preferred
• Familiarity with Procore or Bill.com is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
• Ability to commit to an onsite, six-month temporary assignment
• Accounting degree not required; relevant experience is valued
