We have an opening for an OBD Engineer - Energy Systems to work onsite with our client in the Novi/Northville MI area. This is a contract/resident engineering opportunity. What you will be doing The OBD Engineer - Energy Systems leads On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) strategy and implementation for Energy Systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, system monitoring, and serviceability across EV and PHEV platforms. What you'll need to be successful (must haves) Define and execute OBD strategy for HV battery, charging, thermal, and energy systems Ensure compliance with OBD regulations (e.g., J1979, J1968) Develop and maintain diagnostic content (Vector .cdd, DTCs, monitors) Manage OBD requirements and traceability (e.g., Codebeamer) Collaborate with systems, software, and hardware teams on integration Develop OBD DVPs and support validation activities Drive continuous improvement of OBD processes and tools Essentials Bachelor degree in Engineering is highly preferred.
