DC Maintenance Manager

OVERVIEW

DICK’S Sporting Goods Distribution Center in East Point, GA has an opening for a Manager of Maintenance. This position oversees all aspects of building maintenance on all shifts, including preventive maintenance and capital projects on material handling equipment and conveyor systems. The manager will lead a team of maintenance technicians and janitorial staff, manage budgets, contracts, inventory, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance and Capital Project Execution Coordinate, plan, and schedule preventive maintenance, repair work, and capital projects/upgrades on equipment, conveyor systems, buildings, and grounds. Communicate directly with facility departments to coordinate maintenance and repair activities. Assist with troubleshooting and problem solving for maintenance and repairs. Facilitate and coordinate services with outside vendors and contractors. Manage maintenance resources to provide the most efficient and cost‑effective operation. Ensure adequate, cost‑effective inventories of supplies, spare parts, and maintenance materials/tools. Negotiate contract terms with the Supply Chain support team to ensure project execution according to SOWs. Manage the building grounds, landscaping, and snow removal. Oversee Maintenance/Janitorial Teammates Hire, train, and conduct regular performance evaluations including quarterly touch‑bases and annual reviews. Provide continuous development through training, coaching, and mentoring, including individual growth plans. Communicate regularly with all maintenance/janitorial teammates, both individually and as a group. Plan, schedule, and supervise team performance of daily activities. Create and sustain a positive work environment for all team members. Business Records, Budget & Contracts Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and paperwork associated with all maintenance functions. Develop and control the facilities maintenance budget for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance requirements. Ensure preventive maintenance is tracked using CMMS. Manage maintenance costs to ensure the budgeting process is accurate and the department meets overall business requirements. Safety Provide a safe environment for all personnel. Ensure all safety requirements and regulations are adhered to, including OSHA standards with related record‑keeping. Collaborate with safety specialists on all related issues and projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

5–7 years of maintenance manager experience. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related fields. Knowledge of a computerized maintenance program and proven experience with conveyors. Knowledge and experience with programmable logic controls. Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and regulations. Understanding of preventive, predictive, and corrective principles and techniques. Working knowledge of lockout/tag‑out procedures. #J-18808-Ljbffr DICK
