Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in healthcare administration or related field preferred. Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or a related administrative role within the healthcare industry. Familiarity with healthcare billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong understanding of insurance policies, billing regulations, and HIPAA compliance. Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with patients and insurance representatives. Preferred Qualifications Certification in medical billing or coding (e.g., Certified Professional Biller or Certified Coding Specialist). Experience working with multiple insurance providers and government healthcare programs such as Medicare and Medicaid. Proficiency in advanced billing software and data management tools. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and unpaid claims by coordinating with internal departments and external payers. Maintain organized and confidential records of billing transactions, payments, and communications. Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to update billing information and improve billing processes. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments to support cash flow management.
