About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Preferred experience of 2 years License: SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start Certifications: BLS required, ACLS and NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - Epic experience - Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry skills - Ability to manage insulin and rapid response situations Description: This position involves working as a Medical Surgical RN. The shift consists of 4 nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. The standard patient ratio is 1:6, with potential for flexing to 1:7 during unplanned absences. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. On-call availability may be necessary based on low census. Travelers may need to float to meet facility needs. The facility supports a collaborative approach with various interdisciplinary teams. Patient care focuses on typical adult medical surgical diagnoses. Familiarity with telemedicine equipment will be important. All employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season. Travelers should be aware of possible assignments during this time, which runs from June through November.
