Hotel Night Auditor

Join our hospitality team as a Night Auditor and play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and seamless guest experience during overnight hours. This position combines front desk responsibilities with nightly accounting and audit functions while serving as the hotel's primary point of contact overnight. Compensation $15+ per hour depending on experience Schedule Part-time 2-3 days per week 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Key Responsibilities Guest Service & Front Desk Operations: Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude; check guests in and out efficiently and accurately; assign guest rooms and accommodate special requests whenever possible; assist with reservation management, room blocking, and pre-registration activities; resolve guest concerns and provide exceptional customer service; maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area; stay informed about hotel services, amenities, promotions, and brand standards. Night Audit & Accounting Duties: Audit guest accounts to ensure room rates, market codes, and postings are accurate; review group accounts to verify charges align with contracted agreements; post room charges, taxes, and other applicable fees to guest accounts; complete nightly accounting processes and required audit reports; run and distribute computer-generated reports and accounting documentation; ensure compliance with all cash handling, credit card, and payment processing procedures. Safety & Hotel Operations: Serve as Manager on Duty during overnight hours; execute and support hotel emergency procedures and loss prevention policies; respond appropriately to guest requests, incidents, and overnight operational needs; complete all required nightly checklists and operational tasks; support a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests and team members. Qualifications Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight shifts. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer proficiency; hotel property management system experience is a plus. Ability to maintain professionalism when handling guest concerns. Previous hotel, front desk, customer service, or Night Auditor experience is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull as needed. Occasional exposure to cleaning products and chemicals.
