Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will manage and provide care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. The unit primarily handles total joint surgeries, including MAKO robotics knees and hips, spine surgeries, neurosurgeries, robotics, OB/GYN, podiatry, urology, general surgery, and plastics. Candidates should be comfortable with a fast-paced environment and high patient turnover.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Assist in surgical procedures alongside surgeons and surgical teams.
• Maintain sterile environments and adherence to established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Document patient care and procedures in the Meditech EHR system.
• Participate in call rotations as required by staffing needs.

Required Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in the Operating Room.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Arizona.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred.
