We are always looking for individuals that are problem solvers with passion for continuous improvement to join our team. The Shipping and Receiving associates are responsible for verifying and keeping accurate records on incoming, stocking and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties:Safely, accurately and efficiently load and unload of productsVerify products received from suppliers against the packing listsStores products to the appropriate category shelvesDetermines the best method of packing products to ensure adequate product protection during transitUse the Transportation Management System (TMS) to select the best shipping mode and freight carrier to ensure products are delivered to customers with the shortest lead time and the lowest transportation costUse the ERP system (Epicor-Prelude) to maintain inventory accuracy and data integrityConduct daily cycle counts and investigating the root cause of problemsMake recommendations to improve processes and work environmentPerforms other related duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School diploma or GEDData entry experienceForklift experience or able to be trained and certified to operate forkliftOutlook email proficiencyPrior warehouse, shipping, and/or distribution experience preferredAbility to:Clearly and effectively communicate via phone and email shipping related information to customers, vendors, and co-workersOrganize and prioritize work orders to meet shippingWork independently with limited supervision; self-starterPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Constantly:Exerting 10 pounds of force to move objectsFrequently:Exerting up to 50 pounds of forceStooping, crouching, reaching, standing, and walkingTalking, hearing, and seeing with close visual acuityEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
