A growing outpatient primary care and employee wellness clinic is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for a full-time contract opportunity. This clinic provides comprehensive healthcare services for members of a local workforce population and offers a collaborative, patient-centered environment focused on preventive care, wellness, and chronic disease management.

Position Highlights

• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday
• 40 hours per week
• Contract assignment with strong extension potential
• Outpatient primary care setting
• Patient population ages 2+
• Epic EMR
• Dedicated Medical Assistant support
• Collaborative team including nursing leadership, behavioral health, rehabilitation services, and physician oversight
• Average of patients per day
• Patient-focused scheduling with extended appointment times

Schedule

• Monday & Tuesday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 10:00 AM 7:00 PM
• Thursday & Friday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
• One-hour unpaid lunch daily

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services for pediatric and adult patients
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, including upper respiratory infections, influenza, UTIs, and minor injuries
• Manage chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia
• Perform annual wellness visits and preventive screenings
• Conduct well-woman exams and Pap smears
• Administer immunizations and vaccines
• Perform minor office procedures and point-of-care testing
• Provide travel medicine consultations as needed
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing
• Document patient encounters within Epic EMR

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher
• Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC)
• Active Illinois Nurse Practitioner license
• Active DEA registration
• Current BLS certification
• Active DOT Certification
• Minimum of 2 years of Family Nurse Practitioner primary care experience
• Women's Health experience required, including Pap smears and well-woman exams
• Strong outpatient primary care skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic EMR experience
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency
• Employee Health or Occupational Health experience
• Travel Medicine experience
• Experience performing minor office procedures
