Payroll Specialist Nashville, TN $22-$28/hour Professional Services / Finance About the Opportunity - Payroll Specialist We are partnering with a growing organization in the Nashville area seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. You'll play a key role in supporting employees and maintaining compliance with payroll regulations. Key Responsibilities - Payroll Specialist
- Process weekly and biweekly payroll for a multi-state workforce
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including deductions and benefits
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll issues promptly
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits as needed
- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams on payroll-related matters
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience preferred
- Knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms)
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and tax regulations
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general accounting principles
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills CFS
