Assistant Property Manager

Job Description: Assistant Property Manager Assistant Property Manager – TX Full-time The Assistant Property Manager must have at least 1 year experience (may be required at some locations, strong knowledge of multifamily property bond and/or tax credit experience). The Assistant Property Manager will report to the Property Manager. He/She will perform administrative and organizational duties such as liaising with residents, collecting rent, doing basic bookkeeping, organizing property viewings, and overseeing facility maintenance. You will also be responsible for evaluating applicants and negotiating contracts. To be successful as an Assistant Property Manager you should have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. An outstanding candidate will also have a talent for business management and distinguished conflict resolution skills. Responsibilities Inquire about late payments and assist in handling any eviction issues. Organize, communicate, and manage resident events. Manage resident engagement on social platforms and property groups. Interview new prospective tenants and give tours of the property. Process applications, conduct rental screenings, and contact references. Distribute, collect leases, and ensure that all required legal documents are signed. Address and promptly resolve questions, requests, and complaints from tenants. Create and distribute marketing materials for the property. Inspect the property on a regular basis to assess the condition of buildings and grounds, and to ensure that empty units are ready for new tenants. Oversee that all repairs and maintenance are completed timely. Assist in hiring staff as necessary. Manage budgets and accounts. Work in collaboration with the Property Manager to complete all weekly and monthly reports. Report any problems or issues to the Property Manager. Manage records and files of current tenants. Respond to emergency maintenance or safety calls when needed. Assist and perform all duties as assigned by the Property Manager. Requirements High school diploma/GED. Previous experience in multifamily community management. Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks. Solid understanding of anti-discrimination fair housing laws.
