About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Englewood, Colorado, 80113!
Job Title: RN - PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in acute care hospital PCU License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS & ACLS required Must-Have: Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience Description: Travel RN position available in a progressive care unit. The unit has 20 beds and a staff of 40. Day shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, and 3 techs. Night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, and 2 techs. Patient ratios are approximately 1:4, with the charge nurse free of patient assignments. Type of equipment includes vents, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, suction, and chest tubes. The EMR system used is Meditech. The ideal candidate should have experience with chest tubes, bedside bronchoscopy, and managing trauma patients. Candidates must be team players, as the unit has a highly acute patient population and presents challenges. The unit fosters great teamwork and has motivated nursing staff.
