In 1972, Chuck Wagner started Caymus Vineyards with his parents, Charlie and Lorna – a family of farmers with deep roots in the Napa Valley dating back to the 1850s. Although the Wagners are famous for producing their highly sought after Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, they don’t plan on resting on those laurels. Chuck, his son Charlie, and his daughter Jenny are now exploring and farming Suisun Valley, a lesser known wine region east of Napa Valley, whose wines rival their more famous neighbor in expression and intensity. Position Summary
We are looking to expand our team of energetic hospitality professionals with a strong work ethic and genuine passion for both food and wine. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating memorable guest experiences and thrives in an environment centered around hospitality, culinary experiences, wine education, and connection.

The Food & Wine Educator will work under the direction of the Hospitality Management Team. While previous hospitality experience is preferred, an enthusiastic love of food, wine, hospitality, and people is essential.

This position will support wine tastings, food & wine pairings, private dining experiences, and provide hospitality service for corporate and private events at the culinary events center at Caymus-Suisun.

Role & Responsibilities
•  Create exceptional guest experiences in both private and group settings
•  Lead and assist with food & wine pairing experiences, wine tastings, and hospitality events
•  Provide polished and attentive service during corporate events, private dinners, and special events
•  Assist with event setup, execution, and breakdown
•  Educate guests on wines, food pairings, seasonal ingredients, and the Wagner Family story
•  Deliver warm, polished, and approachable hospitality at all times
•  Operate POS and guest transactions accurately and efficiently
•  Maintain an organized, clean, and professional work environment
•  Professional appearance and gracious demeanor
•  Learn and communicate key points of the Wagner Family of Wines collection, Caymus-Suisun history, and culinary offerings
•  Ability to confidently discuss wine, food, local ingredients, wineries, and restaurants
•  Support retail wine and food product sales
•  Must be a team player and collaborate well with others
•  Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
•  Passion for both food and wine
•  Hospitality, restaurant, winery, or food & beverage experience preferred
•  Strong communication and guest engagement skills
•  Interest in farm-to-table hospitality and culinary experiences
•  Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
•  Experience with private events or banquet-style service is a plus
•  Must be at least 21 years old

Working Conditions
•  Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events
•  Availability to work wine dinners, culinary events, corporate events, and private hospitality experiences
•  Indoor and outdoor work environments depending on event needs

Physical Requirements
•  Ability to stand for long periods of time
•  Ability to walk long distances throughout the property on a regular basis
•  Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
•  Ability to lift/move/carry 50 pounds on a frequent basis
•  Regularly bend, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, or climb as needed

Salary Range $30 - $32 /hr
EOE ~ Salary commensurate with experience
