General Manager – Café/Restaurant, Events & Membership Venue

Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $70,000–$90,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, plus performance-based bonus opportunities

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead operations at our new hospitality venue in Manhattan. The concept combines a grab-and-go café, sit-down dining experience, private event space, and membership program, creating a unique destination for guests, members, and the surrounding community.

The General Manager will oversee daily operations, lead the hospitality team, maintain exceptional service standards, and support the growth of the café, events, and membership offerings.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality leader who enjoys building teams, creating operational structure, and helping shape a new concept from the ground up.

• Oversee all daily café, restaurant, event, and membership operations
• Ensure an exceptional guest and member experience across all areas of the business
• Lead, train, and develop front-of-house and back-of-house teams
• Manage scheduling, labor, inventory, purchasing, and operational processes
• Maintain high standards for service, cleanliness, food safety, and compliance
• Oversee POS procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting
• Support private events from planning through execution in partnership with the events team
• Manage membership operations, including member engagement, communication, and retention initiatives
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve operational efficiency
• Build strong relationships with guests, members, building tenants, and community partners

• 2+ years of General Manager or senior hospitality management experience
• Experience managing restaurant, café, event, or multi-use hospitality operations
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Experience with labor management, inventory control, and financial performance
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of NYC hospitality operations and compliance requirements
• NYC Food Protection Certificate
• Experience with membership programs or community-driven hospitality concepts is a plus

The location’s regular operating hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. The General Manager’s primary schedule will generally align with these hours; however, private events and special programming may take place outside of regular operating hours.

Flexibility is required to support occasional evening, weekend, or holiday events based on business needs.
