Equipment Quality Coordinator

Position Description Permanent Equipment Quality Coordinator at Ryder in Houston, Texas. Pay Information Hourly Pay: $18.86 per hour Schedule: Monday‑Friday Hours: First Shift 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CDL Required Benefits On‑the‑Job Paid Training Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 K (start 30 days) 12 weeks paid maternity leave Paid Time Off Accrues Day One, 80 hours per year Additional day off for U.S. Military Veterans 401 K company match 15 % employee stock discount PPE, uniforms, and boot allowance provided Requirements High school diploma or equivalent At least one year of mechanical and/or customer service experience Advanced knowledge of truck and trailer equipment Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Ryder’s driving qualifications CDL preferred or ability to obtain CDL Ability to work outdoors in various elements for acceptance of units, exercising units, lot management, and customer pick‑ups Customer focus and support orientation Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Organized and capable of multitasking Basic computer skills – tablet use for checking/inspecting units, email Ability to drive Ryder vehicles – must pass Ryder Drug Test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Responsibilities Exercise trucks/tractors to ensure equipment is road‑worthy and ready for sale Guarantee customer units are ready for delivery or transport from the UTC without issues Transport equipment around the yard, keeping the yard orderly, organized and presentable Perform light mechanical work such as jump starts, battery installation, fluid management while troubleshooting mechanical issues Coordinate and communicate with local Ryder shops or third‑party service providers for repairs Ensure equipment is clean and presentable Submit weekly equipment exercise data via Teams Additional Responsibilities Special projects as assigned Perform other duties as assigned EEO Statement Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug‑Free workplace.
