Emergency Room Nurse

This role provides flexible PRN coverage for an Emergency Room at a rural Critical Access Hospital near Beardstown, Illinois, offering up to $55 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, triage, and treat patients presenting with a variety of emergency medical conditions.

Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy according to physician orders.

Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in status.

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Accurately document patient care and maintain compliance with facility policies.

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a rural healthcare environment.

Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact License (if applicable).

Current BLS Certification.

Current ACLS Certification.

Experience with emergency stabilization, triage, trauma, cardiac, and medical-surgical patients.

Preferred Skills:

PALS Certification

TNCC Certification

NIH Stroke Certification
