Equal Employment Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled Job Skills / Requirements We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team and oversee the successful execution of our alarm system projects. As a Project Manager at Midwest Alarm Services, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to our quality standards. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including sales, engineering, installation technicians, and clients to ensure seamless project coordination and successful project outcomes. Responsibilities Project Management: Develop project plans and schedules, ensuring timely completion within budget. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders for smooth execution. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and provide guidance to technicians. Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders. Possibility to conduct Fire Marshal/AHJ walk through. Team Management: Supervise and provide leadership to a team of technicians. Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and foster collaboration. Coordinate technician schedules and resources to optimize productivity and meet deadlines. Engineering Drawings: Collaborate with design and engineering teams for accurate and compliant system designs. Verify installations adhere to approved plans and regulatory standards. Provide technical support and guidance during installations and troubleshooting. Inventory Management: Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source equipment and track deliveries. Monitor equipment warranties and manage returns/replacements. Quality Assurance: Define and enforce quality standards for installations, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for pricing and deliveries. Collaborate with testing and commissioning team to verify functionality and successful handover. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively monitor and address issues, escalating to senior management. Implement change management processes for scope changes and client requests. Client Relationship Management: Serve as primary client contact throughout project lifecycle. Provide regular updates to clients about progress, milestones. Foster long‑term relationships by delivering exceptional service and exceeding expectations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred). Attain all licenses and NICET II within 1 year of employment. Proven experience as a Project Manager in fire protection or construction industry. In‑depth knowledge of fire alarm systems, codes, and standards (NFPA, IBC, etc.). Strong leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
