Bookkeeper - Public Accounting Firm

A well-established public accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Bookkeeper with public accounting experience to provide hands-on bookkeeping and accounting support for clients.

Responsibilities:

\n

• Provide day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting support for clients

\n

• Work onsite at a client location in Englewood approximately 3 days per week

\n

• Answer client accounting questions and provide ongoing support

\n

• Review and clean up monthly QuickBooks activity

\n

• Post and code transactions in QuickBooks

\n

• Prepare bank reconciliations and general ledger entries

\n

• Prepare financial statements

\n

• Reconcile prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and fixed assets

\n

• Assist with tax notices and follow-up items

\n

• Support tax preparation and year-end accounting projects

\n

• Assist with cash tie-outs, AP searches, AR items, and 1099s

\n

• Work closely with clients and the engagement team

\n

• Manage priorities across multiple client engagements

\n

\n

Qualifications:

\n

• Public accounting experience required

\n

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

\n

• Hands-on bookkeeping and accounting experience

\n

• QuickBooks experience required

\n

• QuickBooks data import experience is a plus

\n

• Yardi experience is a plus

\n

• Strong understanding of accounting principles

\n

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

\n

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

\n

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

\n

• Ability to work independently and directly with clients

\n

• Ability to travel to the Englewood client site approximately 3 days per week

\n
