Job Description

This entry-level position involves the processing of silicon for semiconductor wafer manufacturing. The Production Operator will follow detailed procedures and complete documentation without defects, using various automated and manual tools such as clean line etch benches, scales, barcode scanners, and a PC.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to complex, detailed production procedures and document processes accurately and on time.
• Utilize a variety of automated and manual tools, including clean line etch benches, scales, barcode scanners, and a PC.
• Work a 12-hour day shift from 6 am to 6 pm on a compressed workweek schedule.
• Ensure safety by wearing required personal protective equipment and following all safety regulations.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and frequent use of stairs for extended periods.
• Handle and work around hazardous chemicals with care and proper protection.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and area to meet clean room and 5S standards.
• Lift and exert force on materials weighing between 10-20 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Cross-train in various process areas and perform daily equipment calibrations.
• Monitor, analyze, and verify data to ensure quality specifications are met.
• Participate in teamwork, multitasking, and problem-solving to maintain production quality.

Essential Skills

• Basic safety knowledge, including understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work well with others as part of a cohesive production team.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and compute percentages.
• Proficiency in using a computer keyboard for data entry and communication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
• Capability to handle technical manuals, reports, and correspondence.
• Understanding of basic maintenance processes for assigned equipment.

Work Environment

The work environment can be loud and sometimes dirty, with exposure to fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, oils, and other fluids. The position requires strict adherence to safety protocols, and personal protective equipment is provided and mandatory. Work involves a 12-hour day shift with a compressed workweek schedule, requiring work every other weekend.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
