Registered Nurse Psychiatric

Job Summary:
Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care on a per diem basis, supporting mental health treatment and patient safety. This role involves working extended 12-hour shifts to assist in maintaining a stable therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer psychiatric assessments and coordinate patient care plans.
• Monitor patient behaviors and responses to treatment, adjusting interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive mental health services.
• Document patient progress accurately, ensuring compliance with facility protocols.
• Follow all safety and compliance guidelines, completing required profiles within two weeks of start date.
• Maintain a supportive and empathetic environment for patients undergoing psychiatric treatment.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with relevant psychiatric or mental health experience.
• Proven ability to manage complex psychiatric cases and emergency situations.
• Strong knowledge of mental health treatment protocols and medication administration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and team members.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Commitment to maintaining compliance with all licensing, safety, and regulatory standards.
