Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) - Uro-Oncology (Southeast)

Merck seeks a credentialed Regional Medical Scientific Director for Uro-Oncology in the Southeast to engage in scientific exchange with external medical leaders, support clinical research initiatives, and provide balanced scientific information on oncology topics and company interests.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain peer-to-peer scientific relationships with regional Urology leaders and key external stakeholders
- Address scientific inquiries and provide non-promotional medical information on areas of therapeutic interest
- Support clinical research initiatives by identifying enrollment barriers, recommending study sites, and liaising with investigators
- Engage at scientific congresses through preparation, data exchange facilitation, and booth support as needed
- Gather market insights on medical and scientific needs of healthcare practitioners and patients
Requirements
- PhD, PharmD, DNP, or MD degree required
- Minimum 3 years therapeutic area experience in Oncology or Urology
- Field-based medical science liaison experience
- Clinical or research experience in assigned therapeutic area beyond terminal degree
- Strong knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and pharmaceutical industry regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work in dynamic environments
- Up to 50% overnight travel capability; must reside in Southeast territory
