About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of External Relations to join their team. This senior executive leader will be responsible for directing the organization's resource development, investor relations, capitalization strategy, grant writing, marketing, and communications efforts. The successful candidate will serve as a key strategist and ambassador, working to grow and diversify funding sources, strengthen institutional partnerships, and elevate the organization's visibility and impact. The role involves developing and implementing strategies to raise loan capital and operating funds, ensuring compliance with funder and investor requirements, and overseeing the organization's marketing and communications strategy. The Vice President will also be a public spokesperson and senior media liaison, and will be expected to travel throughout the region as needed. Applicants for the Vice President of External Relations position at the company should have a proven track record in capital raising, investor relations, grant management, and strategic communications. Strong leadership, collaboration, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are essential, as is the ability to structure and manage complex funding relationships and financing agreements. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking, and experience in external representation. Knowledge of CDFI funding environments, community development finance, or mission-driven capitalization strategies is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and mission-driven professional with the ability to work across various sectors and with diverse stakeholders to achieve the organization's goals.
