Sales Manager - B2C Home Improvement

About Us For over 30 years, we’ve been a premier home improvement company serving the Greater Houston market. We operate our own local factory & showroom. The workforce is all employees, no sub-contractors, which gives us a real edge in lead times, quality control, and customer experience. Our B2C business runs across three channels: returning homeowners and referrals, plus two large national retailers. Houston is the fifth-largest metro in the country, and the upside here is significant. We’re looking for a steady, process-driven leader to manage our sales team and methodically scale revenue. The leads, the sales process, and the technology already exist. Your responsibility is to turn them into closed sales. This role is focused strictly on our three consumer retail channels and excludes commercial and builder accounts entirely. The Role Your mission is to generate sales. Our reps sell in-home directly to homeowners. Sit at the kitchen table and run a consultative, value-based process on a high-consideration purchase. Close in the home. You’re a hands-on manager who trains new recruits and develops and pushes experienced reps past their personal targets. Beyond the numbers, you’re a resource the whole organization can lean on. Key Responsibilities

• Enforce the playbook: Hold reps strictly accountable to our proven, defined in-home sales process.
• Maximize three lead channels: Own the routing, scheduling, and conversion metrics for high-value leads from returning homeowners, referrals, and national retail accounts.
• Train, coach, and challenge: Lead high-impact weekly sales meetings, run in-home role-play scenarios, and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop reps in the field: Conduct weekly in-home ride-alongs — coaching reps live in customers’ homes — and use our showroom to lift individual closing rates.

• A predictable $4,000/month base to anchor your income.
• An aggressive override: 1% of cash collected above our established baseline.
• A steady stream of warm, pre-set in-home appointments across three robust pipelines.
• The backing of a 30-year local legacy with our own factory, showroom, and full employee workforce — no sub-contractors.

• 3+ years managing a field sales team in home improvement, remodeling, or B2C consumer services.
• Experience managing an in-home / one-call-close sales team strongly preferred.
• Comfortable coaching a value-based, consultative selling approach — not a discount-driven one.
• Proven experience enforcing a structured, system-based sales process.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and challenge commission-only reps.
• Deep familiarity with Greater Houston geography.
• Uses metrics to drive decisions.
• Comfortable with technology, including CRM.
