The Mental Health Technician (MHT) is an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and provides support for the patient\u2019s therapeutic treatment plan and reports vital information directly to the Registered Nurse. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to observing and recording patient information pertinent to the treatment plan, welcoming new patients through specific admission protocols; assisting with the patient discharge process; maintaining direct patient observation; lead patient education, community, goal, and activity groups; assist nursing staff by taking vital signs and help patients perform ADL\u0027s. MHT\u0027s may be expected to make entries into the patient\u0027s legal, medical record. Other duties may include light clerical / record filing, general housekeeping duties required to keep the patient and staff areas clean and safe; answering the phone and doing light clerical duties; or other duties as delegated by the supervising RN. Required: High School Education or Equivalent At least one year's experience in the healthcare field Lifting patients, equipment and supplies. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Must be willing and able to assist patients with performing different personal hygiene and laundry tasks. #J-18808-Ljbffr
