The position is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated financial analyst with strong analytical skills to gain valuable experience at the Business Unit Headquarters level. The selected team member will develop an understanding of Raytheon accounting structures and systems. The position will be responsible for general accounting support including journal entry preparation, balance sheet account reconciliations, and ad hoc analysis. Other areas of exposure include flux analysis, audit deliverables, and other accounting and financial-related activities.What You Will DoPrepare schedules for Financial Reporting and TaxEnsuring compliance with key internal control procedureReviewing, preparing and posting manual journal entries requestsAssist with audit requestsPerform monthly, quarterly and annual flux analysis and reportsAnalyzing Balance Sheet accounts and reconciliationsParticipate in special projects and analysisQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related fieldWorking experience with SAP and/or similar financial systems.Working experience with MS Office tools including ExcelU.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.Qualifications We PreferUnderstanding of RTX financial and accounting policies and proceduresExperience interfacing and conducting business with various disciplinesSelf-starter with the ability to take the initiative and ownership of assignments and desire to improve processes.Self-guided, self-motivated, and highly organized and team playerAbility to explain balances, purpose of accounts and identify inconsistenciesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize effectivelyExperience in DoD or Aerospace industryEffective, pleasant, and business-like interpersonal skillsPlease ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
