HR Associate Generalist

Joseph J. Albanese, Inc. is seeking an HR Associate Generalist to support the Human Resources department with a focus on compliance management, affirmative action initiatives, training coordination, and general HR Administration. This role ensures the organization adheres to relevant laws and regulations, supports employee development, and delivers efficient HR services to employees, managers, and operations teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor and maintain HR compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and industry requirements.


• Support compliance tracking for employee records, onboarding documents, policy acknowledgments, training records, certifications, and required employment documentation.


• Assist with audits, reporting, and document preparation related to HR, equal employment opportunity, and workforce requirements.


• Help maintain accurate personnel files and ensure sensitive employee information is handled with confidentiality and care.

• Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of affirmative action plans, ensuring equal employment opportunity practices are upheld.

• Assist with preparing reports, summaries, and documentation for internal review, compliance audits, and external partners.


• Coordinate employee training programs, including scheduling sessions, communicating training requirements, tracking attendance, and maintaining accurate training records.


• Partner with managers, HR leadership, and subject matter experts to identify training needs, support training materials, and monitor completion of required courses.


• Assist with evaluating training effectiveness by collecting feedback, reviewing participation data, and recommending improvements to enhance employee learning and compliance.

• Respond to employee inquiries regarding compliance, ands in a timely and professional manner.

• Perform other Human Resources duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  

• 1-3 years of HR experience, with exposure to compliance, training coordination, and employee support processes.

• Knowledge of employment laws and affirmative action requirements.


• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.


• Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience coordinating employee training, maintaining training records, and using learning management systems or similar tracking tools preferred.


• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.

OTHER:

• General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, bending.


• Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
