Drives vision and identifies functionality requirements needed to complete and excel in a competitive market place. In addition to traditional product strategy responsibilities, this role will provide strategic guidance and leadership oversight for multi‑year service‑strategy initiatives across the organization. While dedicated Project Managers will handle day‑to‑day project execution, the Strategy Manager is accountable for ensuring that each initiative remains aligned with enterprise priorities, strategic intent, and organizational impacts. This includes refining strategic approaches, coordinating across departments, and maintaining strong communication with senior leadership through executive‑level updates and progress reviews. This role requires strong analytical leadership to shape strategic decisions, interpret insights, and identify organizational or process‑level inhibitors to success. The Strategy Manager partners closely with the Data Investigation Lead, who develops analytical findings and recommendations that help inform KPI direction for strategic initiatives. While standards development will reside in a separate role, the Strategy Manager is responsible for ensuring strategic efforts remain aligned across service models, promoting consistency, and driving continuous improvement in how strategies are executed. In partnership with Business Analysts—who will lead business case development and innovation/POC activities—the Strategy Manager ensures that strategic initiatives are grounded in data‑driven insights and aligned with long‑range organizational objectives. Responsibilities Develops and executes product strategy for high impact opportunities and drives product vision, strategy, roadmap, and features, including keeping up on business changes and trends impacting the users, external benchmarking and incorporation of BI technologies trends. Manages the overall customer experience, including the technical, functional, process, and policy considerations. Creatively defines and implements solutions to those challenges. Manages strategic relationships with officers and key business partners to assist in the development of marketing strategies and to improve the product line efficiency and effectiveness. Supports monetization and deployment of product strategy based on benchmarking, customer feedback, data from competitors, and market trends for new and existing products and services. Work with stakeholders to create strategic and tactical plans to address inhibitors to product performance. Evaluates product launch post‑deployment and create/oversee plan corrections. Respond to escalations based on feedback from key stakeholders. Conduct Partnership meetings with Sales, Service, Marketing, and Client Experience. Monitor compliance environment and make product recommendations for implementing regulation. May manage direct reports based on product lines. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience - Preferred Master's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience - Preferred 5 years of experience in Management. 5 years of experience in Marketing and Product Management. Compensation In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $98,600 - $154,942.85 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
