About the Role
The Engagement Director is a senior leader responsible for account-level ownership, strategic client partnership, and overall success of a portfolio of RWD engagements. This role combines executive relationship management, data-driven advisory, and delivery oversight to ensure clients realize sustained value from Norstella's Real-World Data solutions.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, guiding how RWD (Open Claims, Closed Claims, EMR) can inform commercial, market access, and HEOR decisions, while overseeing cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
Serve as the senior point of contact and account owner, building trusted relationships with VP- and C-level stakeholders
Lead RWD strategy, success planning, and long-term value realization across a portfolio of RWD engagements
Oversee multiple concurrent engagements, ensuring delivery excellence, operational rigor, and consistent client outcomes
Provide strategic data advisory, translating RWD into actionable insights and guiding data selection and analytics approaches
Lead risk management and escalation resolution across delivery workstreams
Collaborate with product, data, and analytics teams to enhance solutions and improve scalability
Mentor and lead Engagement Managers and cross-functional teams, fostering strong collaboration and development

Qualifications
Master's or PhD in life sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, or related field
10-14+ years of experience in RWD, life sciences analytics, or consulting
5+ years leading client accounts or large-scale engagements
Deep expertise in Open Claims, Closed Claims, and EMR data
Strong domain knowledge in commercial, market access, HEOR, and/or epidemiology
Proven ability to engage executive stakeholders and drive strategic outcomes
Experience managing cross-functional teams and complex delivery environments
Proficiency with SQL/data structures sufficient to guide technical discussions
