Overview Established behavioral health organization provides psychiatric services in Connecticut’s skilled nursing, assisted living and behavioral health facilities. Compensation & Benefits $235,000–$285,000 annual salary for full‑time positions or $175–$200 per hour for PRN/1099 roles. No weekend or holiday coverage; weekday calls limited to 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Flexible work arrangements: full‑time, part‑time, PRN, or 1099. 1–2 facility visits per day; established caseload and patient population. Malpractice coverage, company phone and laptop after 30 days, and mileage reimbursement (over 30 miles). Four weeks of vacation and six paid holidays for eligible full‑time employees. 3 % retirement contribution after one year of service. Continuing education support ranging from $500 to $1,500 based on tenure. Responsibilities Provide psychiatric consultations for adult and geriatric residents in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Complete initial psychiatric evaluations and ongoing follow‑up visits. Diagnose psychiatric conditions and manage psychotropic medications. Perform capacity, competency, and conservatorship‑related evaluations when appropriate. Collaborate with social workers, nursing teams, families, facility leadership, and other treating providers. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and oversee the psychiatric plan of care for assigned patients. Visit one or two facilities per day, supporting a concentration in Fairfield County. Qualifications Active or eligible Connecticut physician license. Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Psychiatry. Experience or comfort treating adult and geriatric patients in institutional or facility‑based settings.
