Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud, Distributed Systems)

Salary: $79,200 - 209,500 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors or masters degree, or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area.
• At least four years of software engineering or related experience.
• Strong coding skills and broad knowledge of distributed systems, including the ability to work across the software stack and low-level systems.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt, work collaboratively in an agile environment, and simplify solutions at scale.
• Experience with Java and/or Python is preferred.

• Define, design, and develop software, including applications and operating systems.
• Provide technical leadership to other software developers and help shape software architecture as needs change.
• Design new features and systems for customers.
• Collaborate across teams and with external partner teams to build effective systems for customers and operations.
• Debug, maintain, and improve existing systems, with particular attention to performance and reducing operational burden.
• Investigate issues across a broad range of the technology stack.
• Build tools and automation to scale systems.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support customers.
• Exercise independent judgment on varied and complex work; the role may include project leadership or supervision of junior personnel.
