Automation Engineer

Salary: $100,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 5+ years of experience as an Electrical/Controls Engineer handling design, programming, installation, and startup work.
• We require 5+ years of experience programming Allen-Bradley Logix platform PLCs.
• We require 5+ years of field experience, including panel wiring, startup, and emergency support/troubleshooting.
• We require 5+ years of SCADA software development experience with platforms such as FactoryTalk View SE, Ignition, Wonderware, VTSCADA, or iFix.
• We require 3+ years of experience programming Allen-Bradley PanelView or other manufacturers touchscreens.
• We expect strong computer and networking literacy and proficiency.
• We require excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills.
• We require the ability to work effectively with internal staff and communicate clearly with clients, customers, engineers, and contractors.
• We require strong organizational skills and effective time management.
• We require a commitment to ongoing self-development to maintain technical proficiency.
• We require access to personal transportation for travel to other locations, with mileage reimbursable.
• A relevant Engineering or Technology degree from an ABET-accredited program is preferred.
• Advanced computer and networking skills are a significant advantage.

• We provide conceptual design, solutions, and product specifications based on end-user requirements.
• We perform in-house PLC/OIT/HMI programming and testing.
• We support onsite municipal work, including instrumentation configuration, installation assistance, and control system and process startup/testing.
• When qualified for independent assignments, we participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule to troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues.
• We may occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
