Altfest Personal Wealth Management — one of New York’s most respected independent wealth management firms — is seeking an experienced Financial Advisor to join our growing team in New York City.

This is an opportunity for an experienced advisor who wants to focus on delivering exceptional advice — not product sales or asset gathering quotas.

We operate on a hybrid schedule (2 days in-office / 3 days remote), offering flexibility while maintaining meaningful collaboration and mentorship across the team.

What You’ll Do

\n

Lead Deep Client Relationships

\n

Serve as the lead advisor and trusted partner for high-net-worth clients and families

\n

\n
• Build long-term relationships grounded in trust, responsiveness, and thoughtful guidance
\n
• Act as the quarterback across all aspects of clients’ financial lives
\n

\n

\n

Deliver Sophisticated Financial Planning

\n

\n
• Develop and oversee comprehensive financial strategies spanning:
\n
• Retirement planning
\n
• Investment strategy
\n
• Tax planning
\n
• Estate and legacy planning
\n
• Risk management
\n
• Cash flow and wealth transfer strategies
\n
• Translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable recommendations
\n

\n

Provide Investment Guidance

\n

\n
• Partner with the investment team to deliver customized portfolio strategies aligned with client goals and firm philosophy
\n
• Guide clients through market events and evolving financial circumstances with confidence and clarity
\n

\n

\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• 7+ years of wealth management or financial planning experience preferred
\n
• CFP® designation strongly preferred (or actively pursuing)
\n
• Experience leading client relationships independently
\n
• Strong expertise in holistic financial planning
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
\n
• Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
\n
• Collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to fiduciary advice
\n
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
\n

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary starting at $130,000 plus incentive compensation, commensurate with experience
\n
