The Senior Manager, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) provides leadership and oversight of EHS programs across multiple facilities. This role ensures compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations and promotes a strong safety culture.

The position works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Facilities, Human Resources, and Site Leadership to identify and reduce risks, maintain compliance, and continuously improve EHS performance.

• Lead and manage EHS programs across multiple facilities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, FDA, DEA, and applicable state and local regulations.
• Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, training, and compliance programs.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and job hazard analyses.
• Manage programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Machine Safety, Confined Space, and Contractor Safety.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee industrial hygiene and occupational health programs.
• Manage environmental programs, including hazardous waste, wastewater, stormwater, recycling, and air compliance.
• Maintain regulatory permits, records, reports, and inspection readiness.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response programs and drills.
• Develop and deliver EHS training for employees, contractors, and leadership.
• Lead, coach, and develop EHS team members.
• Track and report EHS performance metrics to leadership.
• Support capital projects, facility changes, and process improvements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to promote a strong safety culture.
• Manage EHS budgets and resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.

• 10–15 years of progressive EHS experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• 5–8 years of leadership experience.
• Experience managing EHS programs across multiple facilities preferred.
• Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, chemical, or similar industry experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements.
• Knowledge of environmental compliance and industrial hygiene.
• Strong safety and risk management skills.
• Strong incident investigation and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS management systems.

• Ability to work in manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, and office environments.
• Ability to walk production areas and conduct inspections.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to wear required PPE.
• Ability to respond to emergencies outside normal working hours.
• Ability to travel between facilities as required.
