Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients per physician orders, including airway clearance, oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and airway clearance techniques.
- Manage and monitor ventilator support, perform routine assessments, and assist with weaning and extubation as appropriate.
- Conduct patient evaluations, interpret basic respiratory data, and assist with arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation under supervision.
- Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and ancillary staff to ensure safe, effective respiratory care and maintain patient safety.
- Document treatments, responses, and any changes in patient status; adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Be prepared to float to any area you are qualified for and contribute to interprofessional care as needed.

Requirements
- Active Michigan license as a Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- 2+ years of RRT experience (required)
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (AHA) (required)
- Travel experience preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and to float to areas for which qualified
- Attendance expectations: adherence to site policy; documented exceptions for illness or hospitalization reviewed as applicable
