Medical Staff Coordinator Physician Hospital Credentialing

The Clinical Operations Department at Northern Light Medical Management is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Credentialing Specialist with experience in hospital-based radiology departments. This is a temporary-to-full-time position located in Florida. We are a successful and growing hospital-based medical management company, and we are looking for the right candidate who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to operational excellence. You will work closely with our Operations team, physicians, and administrative staff to ensure a seamless credentialing process and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage the full credentialing and privileging process for radiologists, including initial applications, reappointments, and changes in privileges. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for all radiologists, including licensure, certifications, and training. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and all regulatory/accreditation requirements. Coordinate with department heads, physicians, and hospital administration to obtain required documentation and resolve discrepancies. Serve as a liaison between physicians and hospital administration. Provide guidance to physicians regarding credentialing and privileging requirements. Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in medical staff credentialing. Qualifications Proven experience in hospital-based healthcare administration. Prior credentialing experience, including medical licensing (IMLC, FSMB, CAQH). Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident interacting with physicians and hospital leadership. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant software. In-depth knowledge of Joint Commission standards related to credentialing. Requirements Experience in the manual process of Primary Source Verification (PSV) for required documentation. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities under pressure. Flexibility to adapt to changing needs in a high-volume credentialing environment.
