What You Will Do

The compliance analyst supports Trumark's compliance program by monitoring and evaluating adherence to applicable federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. This role works across the organization to identify potential risks, support compliance reviews, and strengthen processes to ensure consistent and compliant practices.

This role plays a key part in protecting the organization by identifying gaps, supporting remediation efforts, and helping departments understand and meet regulatory expectations. Through collaboration, analysis, and ongoing monitoring, the compliance analyst contributes to maintaining a strong control environment and reducing regulatory risk.

You will:
  • Conduct compliance reviews and testing to evaluate adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Identify, document, and escalate compliance risks, gaps, and control weaknesses.
  • Partner with departments to support remediation efforts and strengthen compliance practices.
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of member complaints related to regulatory concerns.
  • Support the development, review, and maintenance of policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze complaint data to identify trends, root causes, and potential areas of risk.
  • Collaborate with legal and internal stakeholders to support regulatory requests, including subpoenas, levies, and writs.
  • Monitor compliance training completion and support alignment with regulatory expectations.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating training materials to reflect regulatory and operational changes.
  • Support reporting and documentation related to compliance reviews, findings, and corrective actions.
What You Bring to the Table

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field required..
Experience
  • Two or more years of experience in banking or financial services, with exposure to regulatory compliance.
Skills
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations applicable to credit unions and financial institutions.
  • Knowledge of compliance monitoring and testing practices.
  • Skill in reviewing policies, procedures, and operational practices to identify compliance risks.
  • Skill in collecting and analyzing data to identify trends, risks, and control gaps.
  • Ability to conduct reviews and document findings in a clear and organized manner.
  • Ability to investigate complaints and gather relevant information to support resolution.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance issues.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to compliance activities.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory guidance and apply requirements to business practices.
  • Ability to communicate compliance-related information clearly to internal stakeholders.
