Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Location: Near Palm Springs, CA (Cathedral City) Schedule: Full-Time | Must be available Tuesday–Thursday Setting: Detox & Residential Treatment Program Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Psych NP or PA to join our residential behavioral health program near Palm Springs, CA. This role is primarily psychiatric , working within a detox/residential program in Cathedral City , with occasional medical support as appropriate. Candidates must have strong substance abuse (SA) experience and be comfortable working with dual-diagnosis patients. Providers with a Psych NP , dual Psych/FNP , or PA background are encouraged to apply—must be willing to manage both psychiatric and medical needs as required. Key Responsibilities Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and ongoing medication management for residential and detox patients. Support medical needs within scope, especially for dual-diagnosis and SA-related conditions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Participate in care planning, treatment team meetings, and continuity-of-care efforts. Qualifications Licensed Psych NP , Psych/FNP , or Physician Assistant in the state of California. Experience required —must have a background working with substance abuse (SA) populations. Comfortable treating both psychiatric and medical issues in a residential treatment setting. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
