Phlebotomist – Carrollton, GA Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner Process billing information and collect payments as necessary Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications 3 years or more of phlebotomy experience Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Reliable transportation Flexibility to work overtime as needed Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency required if no prior work experience Benefits Comprehensive benefits for employees scheduled 20+ hours per week, including medical, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, 401(k), PTO or flexible time, tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan 401(k) participation available for employees scheduled less than 20 hours per week, casual, interns, and temporary staff Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or flexible time Equal Employment Opportunity Labcorp is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer.
