Location Avera Behavioral Health Center – Sioux Falls Position Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Employment Type Regular Shift Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Pay Range $24.50 – $33.75 per hour, dependent on experience. Position Highlights All new graduates welcome to apply. Adult C Unit – 26 bed unit focused on therapeutic care. Opportunity to work in a positive environment with 60+ coworkers. 1 RN for 7‑8 patient ratio. Flexible scheduling program; varied shifts, 72 hours in 2 weeks. Eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program – up to $10,000. What you will do Collect data and conduct focused nursing assessments of patients’ health status. Participate with other health‑care providers in developing and modifying patient‑centered care plans. Implement nursing interventions within the care plan. Assist in evaluating responses to interventions. Ensure the maintenance of safe and effective nursing care. Advocate for the patient’s best interests. Communicate and collaborate with patients and health‑care team members. Provide health counseling and teaching. Delegate and assign nursing interventions to implement the plan of care. Essential Qualifications Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active state license. Ability to work the specified hours and shifts. Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties. Effective communication skills with patients and team members. Capability to perform the essential job functions or obtain reasonable accommodation if needed.
