Electrical Project EngineerPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to lead the electrical design and delivery for commercial, industrial, and institutional MEP projects. The role focuses on electrical system design, coordination with MEP disciplines, construction support, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to required codes and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead electrical engineering design for projects including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, grounding, and controls.Coordinate electrical design and documentation with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural teams to ensure integrated MEP solutions.Develop and review electrical drawings, specifications, load calculations, single-line diagrams, and equipment schedules.Use Revit and BIM workflows for modeling and coordination; manage clash detection and resolve interdisciplinary conflicts.Prepare cost estimates, construction submittals, and technical responses during bidding and construction phases.Provide construction administration support: attend site visits, coordinate with contractors, review shop drawings, and respond to RFIs.Ensure designs comply with NEC, local codes, and owner standards; perform risk assessments and implement QA/QC procedures.Manage project schedule, budgets, and deliverables; maintain project documentation and progress reports.Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with discipline leads to maintain technical quality and consistency.Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver project objectives and resolve issues promptly.QualificationsBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.3+ years of professional experience in electrical design and project engineering for MEP projects (Commercial, Industrial, or Institutional).EIT certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.Proven experience with Revit, BIM coordination tools, and AutoCAD/CAD software.Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical codes, and standards relevant to building systems.Experience with lighting design, short-circuit/fault current analysis, load calculations, and power distribution design.Demonstrated construction administration experience including site visits, RFI responses, and shop drawing reviews.Strong communication, organization, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.Familiarity with estimating, specification writing, and equipment selection for electrical systems.Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.BenefitsHealth/Dental/Vision90% paid health and dental insurance401k with company matchPTO/Holidays OffSick LeaveOpportunities for career development through paid training and educationTuition Reimbursement Available
