BASIC FUNCTION:

Under the guidance and oversight of the District Community Schools Coordinator, independently perform and accomplish highly technical administrative and staff duties related to the coordination and participation in collaborative leadership with their assigned community school, administrators, and school teams in the establishment and development of the Community Schools program pillars and structures; lead the work of identified staff. CURRENT VACANCY/ POSITION SPECIFICS:

Working Location: Chavez Elementary - 1404 South 40th Street, San Diego, CA92113 ( Area E ) Work Schedule: 12months /40hours Salary: This position is paid on theOTBSSalary Schedule. Grade054. Bilingual - English/Spanish required . Qualified candidates will be invited to a Performance Test (Qualifying Only) for oral and written fluency. Bilingual positions qualify for a 5% bilingual differential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to: An Associate's degree from an accredited institution in communications, social services, education, school counseling or a related field and five (5) years of recent, progressively responsible, related experience working with students and families in the TK-12 educational system or with organizations that serve school communities. Experience in the establishment of community partnerships to support the development of comprehensive school systems and structures is highly preferred.
